Aziz Rakla, who is a
social worker and civil servant, has always aimed to support the youth by
helping them gain quality education. He became president of a nonprofit
organization the Citizens Foundations in 2005. Since then, the organization has
received various accolades.
The web documentary
depicting the achievements and work done by the Citizens Foundation was
published by the team of World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE). This
documentary shows how the organization is offering quality education to
underprivileged children of Pakistan, who live in rural or urban regions.
TCF received the first
Humanitarian Excellence Award on December 19, 2010. It received award from Rakz
Communication, which is an event management & Promotion company.
Talking about the number
of school units started by the organization, it is presently more than 1200 through
which more than 175,000 students have received the award.
Aziz Rakla continuously
organizes galas and fundraisers to receive a generous donation that can be used
for the betterment of the children’s future.
TCF has launched a
text-to-educate program. As a part of this program, Canadians can donate 5
dollars to TCF Canada by typing the keyword “Educate” and sending it to 20222.
Through initiatives like these, the children from Pakistan will be able to get
a brighter future. Through the efforts of Aziz, the organization has adopted
some government schools of Pakistan.
The organization also
encourages the individuals to make a donation through Zakat.
